Yea I think its gone. I still haven't gone to the capital to get a new one, I've been busy with inlaws coming over, getting a bad chest cold etc.,

I am using a pic of the ID I had earlier for the time being. I will go to the capital in a week or two once things settle down. Also there was a bunch of holidays and the government offices were closed.

Soooo I just chased a snake out of my yard with a broom. Then I thought I'd look the fucker up.. turns out it was Burmese Krait.. no known antivenom. Hrrm.. probably should use a longer broom next time.

Take no chances with snakes and spiders, that's my motto. When I see them the biggest tool at hand is usually ready to be employed in my defense.

I'm glad you're alright. Stuff like this is a major reason why I avoid Australia. That continent is a zoo of nightmares.

So today I took in my car for a lil tuneup.

Premium Oil Change + Brake Servicing (caliper replacement) + Car Wash (inside and out) + full inspection + a few minor repairs etc.. came to about $65. I rent a car here + full insurance for about $275 a month, and gas costs about $33 a month (2 fill ups cuz I don't drive very much here).

Just a lil comparison.

Oh yea, I am driving an older (2011/12) Toyota Belta.. known in North Am as a Yaris. Its a cheap lil car and I like being low key.

Nice for those with a developed-world income, not so great when you're making local money.

Western airline pilots who live overseas have it freaking made. I house-sat for an American pilot while I was living in South Korea. That dude lived in a freaking marble palace. It was seriously crazy luxury.

Yea you should see some of the houses these expats live in. Or their lifestyles. They are basically super wealthy by Northam standards, but on an income of like 3k a month.
