Not thrilled that Knives Out has done as well as it has only because I think Rian Johnson is a dick. But I have to admit that the trailer really works for it. If I didn't know anything about the politics etc of the movie, Rian Johnson, or the fact that it's supposedly not even a good story, the trailer would make me want to see it.

Went to see Frozen II this weekend. It's ok, but not the amazing blockbuster I'm hearing others think it is.

Also, what is it with Disney doing away with villians? One of the hallmarks of the old Disney movies was a memorable Villian. Now they are forgettable, if you even get a villain at all.

I mean 80% of disney movies are live action remakes with the same old villians. Then they also do the Marvel movies that all have villians. Star Wars movies have them as well.

Rian Johnson should get all the shit he receives for The Last Jedi, but as long as he is making good, original movies, I am all for it.

Sorry, I mean kids animated films. For example, there were 3 animated Disney features over the last year, which were Wreck It Ralph 2, Toy Story 4, and now Frozen 2. None of those movies had a true villian.

Disney movies have to have meta-villains now; society as villain. The princesses have to tackle bigger issues than what can be encompassed by a single avatar; things like reparations, climate change, women's rights, LGBT+ rights.

And also, all new Disney movies will only have Princesses as hero though who knows, maybe the next Disney Princess will be a Prince, if you know what I mean!

p.s. gatdammit people, quit going to Knives Out! All that success is going to do is make another studio interested in taking Rian Johnson on to direct another movie in a flagship franchise and fuck it all up. He has no remorse for what he did to Star Wars so he doesn't realize how shit a job he did.
