Super excited about this...

Also.. Henry Cavill seems to be a really down to earth guy, he is a gamer and actually begged Netflix to cast him as Geralt... I'm pretty sure this could be a great hit.

I am as straight as a concrete building, but no person should be allowed to be as handsome as he is...

I watched 'Man of Steel' at the cinema. Near the start, when he ran shirtless from around the building, I've never heard a cinema be so quiet. You could feel the inner 'gasps' from every woman. Also straight... but he is a damn good looking chap.

As great as the stash is and the controversy surrounding it because of the Justice League reshoots, that iconic arm cocking from Fallout will probably go down as one of his best cinematic moments, Abs I mean Man of Steel be damn. So damn boss.

About the trailer, there were so many mumbled lines and words and dialog over run by music and sound effects I had to turn on the Closed Captions. If I have to watch the series with Closed Captions because the cast can't enunciate or the sound mix over blows the dialog I'm going to be a little upset.

Cavil just seems like a stand up guy, too good to be true. He's handsome as hell but he doesn't seem to have the arrogance that guys with his looks seem to have (like Brad Pitt).

I don't know if I'd go gay for him, but I'd BBQ and drink a beer with him. And he seems like the kind of guy who would be totally up for that.

So while it looks great, as did the last trailer, I just noticed what I think has been subconsciously bothering me since I've been watching the first trailer: their outfits are too clean.

Now on the face of it I know that sounds ridiculous, but I have this theory?/principle? that I've attributed in my head over the years regarding fantasy and science fiction shows/movies, that the best one are usually in a "dirty universe". Like Star Wars, or Game of Thrones. The costumes and outfits for the characters (and also the set pieces) look lived-in and dirty. No shiny leather outfits that look like they just came out of Hot Topic or something. The leather is worn, the fittings are dusty, the metal is tarnished. Just like in the real world.

I feel like when the outfits look brand new and not lived in, it usually indicates either the lack of a good wardrobe budget, or rushed handling of the details, or the show runners just don't care about stuff like that and are too giddy on the "big picture" stuff. It makes me think this is one of the things that can separate something like Xena (which while fun, was really really campy) from something like Game of Thrones. Another difference would be the original Conan movie, and one of the later D&D movies. I know there were also of other reasons for difference in quality, but I just can never shake the feeling like this is one of the indicators.

Anyways, hope I'm wrong, but it's a bit concerning to me.

Is funny you mention that, because I was starting to think the other way around.

I've grown a bit bored and sick of these over-emphasized visions about a dirty and messed up society. And it is by no means any more realistic. It really depends where you go in the world, but it's definitely not like it's all just this fucked up shit and people behaving like animals. Maybe in liberal communities. Go to conservative places like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, HongKong, Singapore, etc, and it's these super high tech and high cultured societies with long tradition and values, everything's clean, people mostly behave with class and nobility. It's been like that in most high culture societies in human history. People of culture actually did care about their looks and cleanliness.

Now that is not to say it's what fits this particular show, but I felt commenting on it as well on a principle matter. For me, all this big special emphasize on messed up stuff has grown a bit worn out for me, and is by no means any more realistic, I've seen enough places and people in this world to know the difference and what makes it.

Sure a knight in the middle of a campaign wasn't exactly at his best looks, but you actually think they'd go like that on official courts? Of course for that occasion they'd dress appropriately. Same with our soldiers today, when they are not in the middle of a fight, they look proper and clean.

What's with the armor that looks like my ball-sack, albeit darker?

I'm looking forward to this, it will take precedence over any other show I'm watching right when it comes out. Looks awesome, now lets see if it actually ends up being awesome.

I binge watched all episodes last Friday. I think they did a great job with it. Cavill was fantastic as Geralt.
