Intel is a PoS

Apparently Intel has shitty hardware and even worse support.

Last Intel processor I bought (that wasn't installed on a notebook) was a Pentium 4. I bought a i5 6400 and it died after only 80days. Never got hot, probably never once was over 50Celsius. Died today.

Intel website buries support and warranty request so deep on their site I thought they didn't have support for this.

Then The questions...

I had to answer less questions less repetitively when applying for my US Visa. Had to describe how my motherboard keep beeping 5 long beeps Everytime I press the power button 4 different times.

Had to put the FPO and SN 3 different times. And I'm really glad I had the original box still. Otherwise I would have to buy a macro lens for my smartphone before I could apply for warranty. NOT KIDDING http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/...000021613.html

Hope I can at least get a warrant of this thing. But my consumer experience has been terrible. Probably never going to buy Intel again.

You had a CPU die? Wow! Intel or AMD, that very rarely happens.

Shit happens, but why make it so difficult to get warranty?

because it never happens, and on the off chance it does most people deal with the retailer not intel. I'm sure they mostly deal with warranty on batch orders, large companies, server farms, etc. not an average consumer.

still, it should be better.
