The zombie stampede looks ridiculous...was that in the book? They remind me of that MacGyver episode with the killer ants.

Uggh, just terrible. Talk about taking a really good concept from a book and totally getting it wrong.

Agreed. Wow, that a disappointment. They could have done something really great with this. At this point, I don't even see how they could leagally say "based on"!

that is the most stupid thing i have ever seen.. and it does not seem to have anything to do with the book other than sharing the title..

but i do seem to remember brad pitt walking out of the project before it was completed.

jesus, i remember reading the first chapters of the book thinking to myself: "wow, this could be an excellent movie"

not this time it seems..

I still think it looks like a great movie. The zombie special effects need some serious work, they look totally fake in both the trailers, but that isn't going to stop me from having a good time.

Looks like the trailer got yanked. The official premier of this trailer is Monday.

This movie doesn't look a thing like the book. There were herds of Zombies but they did not move fast. The zombies in the World War Z book acted the same way the zombies do in Walking Dead.

I'll replace it as soon as it's released.

This. It looks fun. I find the idea of swarming zombies to be kind of scary.

They should have started with this trailer as the first trailer, it comes off slightly better as a movie. It still won't be a proper WWZ movie (cause he's not the dude visiting places and interviewing people after it's all over) but it's looking a little better.

WTF was that, and why did Max Brooks allow his name to be attached to it?
Fast zombies? SMART zombies?!
And the family plays WAAAY too big a role in that preview for this not to spend most of its time with annoying kids in tow going "DADDY SAVE ME".
I'm just dumbfounded at how bad this looks.

This. Fast zombies? One central character involved in all the events? I bet we won't even get zombie-sniffing dogs, Chinese submarines, blind samurai, or astronauts in the movie.

The movie might still have merit on its own, but it looks like it should just drop any affiliation to the WWZ book.
