Diablo III Season 13 is Now Live
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo III Season 13 in now live.
Quote:
Diablo III Season 13 is now live in all gameplay regions! To create a Seasonal hero, choose your class, gender, and name as usual, then select the "Seasonal Hero" option.
Alternatively, you can use the Season Rebirth feature to continue your adventures on an existing character by starting over this Season. You can select a character for Rebirth on the Hero Selection screen. Simply choose the "Rebirth" option to begin your next adventure!
Any of the gear or items equipped on your character or in your inventory will be automatically stripped from the hero and mailed to your non-Seasonal characters, similar to the rollover process that occurs with your stash when a Season ends. In addition, your character will be set to level 1, ready to start the process as though they were freshly created!
For more details on the Season Rebirth feature, be sure to check out our original blog here.

About 2 months ago, my PS4 hard drive bit the dust, lost everything for this game. All my gear, challenges, characters, and I have zilch now. Yea, I never uploaded it, my fault, I get it. But, it took the wind out the sails for this game almost completely. I would have to start from scratch. Only things left are the completed Trophies, which do get uploaded.

Starting from scratch in a game like this is a bitch. I wouldn't do it either. Move on.
Having played a TON of D3 and now a TON of PoE, and having enjoyed them both, I have to say they are very different. PoE is actually challenging in ways that D3 never was.

The only thing you lose out on stash space which isn't that hard.
Wait...are you talking non-seasonal?

To me, that doesn't sound like a loss, rather like a chance to get on with your life!

I've played 3 or so seasons in D3, and it was okay at first. But it became too samey. Grind up until you hit a wall, get your unique set of choice, rinse repeat the next season.
PoE has some outstanding mechanics for an ARPG, and I prefer it. I didn't know you played games though Nice. Do you share your Steam name?

They are on the PC. On consoles? No idea, but sounds like "no" since he referenced not having uploaded his save to the cloud.

The console versions store characters locally, which is why item hacking is extremely prevalent with the console releases.
It's like playing on D2 Open B.net in the olden days, really. Open games are a cesspool.

No, it had tried to, but always failed, to upload. And oddly enough, even the Seasonal stuff was on my hard drive.

Its because all of the characters are stored locally with the console versions. Any uploads would be to Microsoft's or Sony's respective clouds, not Blizzard or Battle.net.

You are kind of right, but now I have been hooked on CoD WWII, War mode specifically
But I really wanted that Million monsters in a Rift challenge and I was just over 800,000!

Cesspool is a good word, I rarely delved into it myself. But it could be fun at times.
