The difference between a tree and a computer is that trees don't have monitors. Trees are pretty great, but without a monitor you really don't have a purpose on a computer. On the other hand, a TV is basically a monitor without a computer. What if you could buy a TV monitor and use it as your computer monitor?

I've been doing that for years. When my monitor quit, I moved over the Vizio 22" I was using primarily as a tv and secondarily as a 2nd monitor and never looked back. Any time I want I can hit the input button and switch it to a tv.

Yeah. I was using my computer as the means of using a TV-tuner card. The problem with computers is, they become more expensive than fishing if you're actually serious about doing anything with them. In much the same way that fishing is expensive if you're serious about doing anything with it other than just wasting time.

Well since i'm getting a decent rebate on it i decided i will be picking up an HP ZR24w. Not the greatest gaming monitor but i does have an IPS panel and it does *1200 which i just cant get myself to pass on.
Should arrive this week, cant wait since my old one seems to be crapping out on me faster than expected.

Ditto. Love it and still currently using it although I did scratch it so I'm looking to get another.
