Titanfall Hits the Bargain Bin

Xbox Live's Major Nelson posted the news on twitter that Respawn's multiplayer shooter, Titanfall, has hit the bargain bin. Physical copies are $19.99 on Amazon.com.

How the mighty have fallen. Seven months after release Titanfall is less than $20. Compare that to Ghosts, which is still $35 after a year.

I dont believe I've ever been more dissatisfied with a title billed as a major release than I was with Titanfall. I bought it on sale for $40 and still think I got ripped off. Played it for about a week and haven't touched it since.

It wasn't so much that it was a terrible game, it was just that it was only half of a game.

Single player campaign would have been great for this game.

Yeah damn shame. Not having a single player section meant that I simply wasn't interested.

P.s. I have a feeling that they never drop the damn prices on the COD games for ages just to annoy people.

Still wouldn't get me to buy it, I don't support games without an offline singleplayer mode!

The PC download is $10 and I still don't feel it's worth the cost.

Still not cheap enough.

LOL. F2P and Steam have ruined me. Over $5 and it's going to have to wait...and wait...and wait...or be one of a very select few titles I pay full (or near full) price for, once or twice a year.

WoW is next on the chopping block. Tired of monthly fees with F2P games aplenty. WoD better be amazing, or BOOM goes the sub.

This is an example of why I hate steam and F2P, they've devalued games!

I recently (this weekend) got TitanFall on Origin Sale. I like it so far. At least for $10 I like it.

Except, when Ghosts was $16 on Amazon back in May...

True, but we also call that capitalism. Ain't it grand?

Activision has a different pricing campaign than most other games.
I think this is because Activision is selling to the mainstream bros not the hardcore market.
The mainstream bros are less price sensitive, because they are not deeply in tune with the games market. They just check in once a year or so to get the latest COD.
So inelastic pricing can work for Activision. But maybe not for Titanfall which is a mobility first hardcore PVP only game.

NOPE.... thought about it.... still can't find $20 of entertainment here, especially after having rented it. How sad.

Got mine free. Had a blast with it. Then forgot about it until Horde mode was released for it.

now I'm having a ton of fun playing again. It's great when you've got time for a quick 20 minutes.

Ghost is only priced at that level because Activision are idiots when it comes to pricing their games a month or two after release. I have never bought a CoD game at full price and I never will. 20 bucks is close to what Titanfall is worth, overall.

Where are you seeing it for $10? That's totally worth it in my book. Origin is still listing it as $20.
